FORCES OF FLIGHT POSTER

The "Forces of Flight," is a new poster created to help classroom teachers to excite and engage students about science.

"YOUR SAFETY AT THE AIRPORT" CHECKLIST

The Air Cadet League of Canada, through the auspices and funding of the Air Transport Association of Canada - (ATAC) (development and production) and the Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council - (CAMC) (translation, printing and distribution), is privileged to provide squadrons with the "Your Safety at the Airport" checklist.

The main purpose of this checklist, according to Wayne Gouveia, ATAC's VP -General Aviation, "is to provide guidance to Air Cadet Squadrons visiting the airside of the airport/heliport environment. The checklist introduces and reinforces common ramp safety procedures to ensure a safe, enjoyable and educational visit to airport facilities."

We believe that this checklist will prove invaluable, be it for a general squadron visit to an airport or for the more particular use of those cadets directly involved in actual flying.

FLYING SCHOLARSHIP PIP

Squadrons staff and Cadets can now access the Flying Scholarship PIP, that was created by Atlantic Region, on the Share Point.  This PIP is a self-paced study program that will help guide cadets through their ground school studies, in preparation for the flying scholarship exam. The zip file is 198MB and therefore cannot be emailed. The file has been uploaded to SharePoint so staff can download to their CCO/Personal computers.

Cadets, or other NON-COATS personnel, can access this PIP on the File Repository.
